ABUJA NIGHT LIFE

Civilization brought much development with the passage of time. Science has blessed mankind with basic and unnecessary comforts, hence people started residing in cities. Cities became preferred centre of livelihood. Nightfall in the city is always full of sweet memories and such that is shrouded in a lot of anticipation and to an extent, mystery.

Basically, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), is the seat of power, the domain for civil servants and political players. A city where inhabitants hustles to eke out a living. Abuja life standard is expensive. So owners of confectioneries, wine bars, lounges, nightclub and so on are surging huge profits and inventing better ways to sustain and attract loyalty as competition stiffens.

Abuja city centres mostly the choice location where this social hangouts are mostly concentrated. The reason is not farfetched; advanced infrastructure is widely spread around the area compared to those at the sub-urban locations. And government establishments are also concentrated within the city area. Economic and social activities as one would expect are high in this city area or "inner city" as will be referred mostly in this piece.  Worthy of note is the fact that high percent of residents of the FCT reside in the sub-urban. The sub-urban traffic is often very heavy after work rush home hours. And this compels extroverts and seldomly, introverts to make their first stop at fun spots so as to avoid getting stuck in the heavy traffic. Most of the operators stay till the early hours of the morning.

Nights on weekends are more captivating in Abuja. Residents usually look forward to weekends. Friday and Saturday nights are opportunity to explore the ever springing up bar and grills, lounges and club houses. Night crawlers make preferences on how to rock weekend nights. Some would prefer to chill at the gardens, others at indoor game centres, restaurants and lounges.

Between 6pm to 9pm is the warm up time. Between 9pm to 11pm, it is assumed time to catch up with partners and friends and decides on a particular venue to turn up and dig it out till early hours of the morning.  New fun spots spring up on regular basis and people tend to move from one spot to the other. Fun seekers are always abreast with social developments and directions of where the train is always headed. You need not be reminded to shun night outing and stay indoors when you have important schedule on your TO-DO list for the next morning. The reason is because you most certainly will get tired with the high energy exhausted at night and perhaps compromise your target or mission as the case may be.
