House of Representatives Set Up Panel To Scrutinize 3 Members Involved in US Sex Scandal

THE House of Representatives has set up a panel to unravel the alleged sex scandal involving three of its members, who were accused of improper conduct, attempted rape and soliciting for prostitutes in Ohio, U.S.A, during an international leadership programme.

The United States ambassador to Nigeria, Mr James Entwistle, had last week, petitioned Speaker of the House, Yakubu Dogara, accusing three lawmakers – Gololo, Mark Gbillahs, and Samuel Ikon – of improper conduct, attempted rape and soliciting for prostitutes during the trip to the US.

The affected lawmakers had denied all the allegations and threatened to sue the ambassador and the US government for character defamation, describing it as a calculated attempt to ridicule the National Assembly. The speaker, Yakubu Dogara, reportedly forwarded the letter from the to the affected lawmakers for their responses.
