Saraki’s Loyalists Make U-Turn, Asked Saraki To Resign As Senate President, Otherwise…

The die is already cast and the resignation of the most popular Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki is hitting harder. Everyone can read the hands on the wall; Saraki may resign soon as fellow senators including his loyalists mount pressure.

Few days ago, the Code of Conduct Tribunal commenced his trial over false assets declaration during the periods he reigned as governor of Kwara state and he seems to be at the negative side of the game.

So what report says today is that, the one measure Saraki can consider in order to avoid humiliation of the highest order, that is, being convicted while seating as the Senate President, everyone including his very loyalists have asked him to humbly resign so as to save the face of the entire Senate, as a body.

Yes, those who initially vowed to stand by him till the very end of his trial at the anti-graft court have thrown him the option of resignation as the Senate President in order to avoid being humiliated while on the throne and to save the whole Senate from a looming problem.

This whole discussion took place moments after the anti-graft trial two days ago at his Maitama residence, Abuja.
